New BERLINer: Catecha Inaka!

Out of curiosity, I searched "German" and teleported myself to "newBERLIN" to have some fun. Since I have learned German (a.k.a Deutsch) for one year, I anticipate to know if I could communicate with German in German fluently.

Thus, I came to NewBerlin, anxious to know what is going to happen.

However, things are always unpredictable. As I step in newBERLIN, I got a name tag "newBERLINer" on my head. Even if I have no idea what those Germans were chatting about, I still join them without fear.

Eager to meet some German freinds, however, an American from Maine showed up, I still fail to practice my German. He is my first friend on SL, also, we have made appointment with each other later at night. He will show me some great place to kill time. Through the experience, I hope I could make more friends from abroad.

First of all, to create a board. By clicking the "object" and shaping the best size, Catecha created a shining pink board while others are white in general.

Second, to upload your article in a picture form(you should make the article piece beforehand by "microsoft powerpoint"), then, try to fit the image in the "texture,"a whole new board is coming out.

Last but not least, remember to take a picture with your news board closer. Do not forget to check if your piece has been moved or changed.After the first step in SL, Catecha Inaka will not be afraid of any challenge in SL. Anticipating for Catecha's next step? Love Is Everywhere-from Dr. Su’s Medical Care

Love is everywhere! To overwhelm us, there is a medical service organization named Chinese Christian Dental Services (CCDS), which has long gone deep into some undeveloped countries, helping people with volunteer clinic. The volunteer clinic provides free care to those who live in poor condition without health insurance to back them up. CCDS’s care for poorness and poverty, following Mackay (馬偕)’s selfless donation in Taiwan, has made some great achievements home and abroad. Some areas in Lanyu and Lyudao, Kampuchea, India, Myanmar and Nepal, etc have benefited from their help.

Above all, Doctor Chen-tai, Su(蘇振泰醫師), the chief leader of CCDS, a pious Christian, serves in Hualien(花蓮), and believes that there must be somewhere we ignore and have to be taken seriously. Thus, with his and his crew’s endeavor, CCDS conquers every impossibility into happening. Through the pictures, we could feel the heartfelt connection in every touching moment with the patients.

In fact, Dr. Su was not grown up in Hualien; however, what would be the reason to motivate him to go there? It must be love. During years of hustle and bustle in city, Dr Su made his new location in 1998 in order not only provide better life for his family, but also take more care for rural areas. Just as he believes, “sometimes we might feel tired, but the smiles on their face keep us going on and on…”

Compare to Dr. Su’ beliefs and efforts in helping the poorness, some people just do the whining and complaining thing, contending that love will never happen on them. Maybe love is not really everywhere, but maybe love will happen when “you” decide to love. When you open the door, welcoming every impossibility into your life, caring people a lot, then, love is booming everywhere.

FIT experience sharing- Go Trekking in Nepal! (Revised Version)

Topic: FIT experience sharing- Go Trekking in Nepal!

Purpose: To share how FIT runs - broaden the horizons of Otaku friends

According to my latest report, there have been a bunch of people, adventurous enough, willing to take risks while traveling. In comparison with the traditional travel agencies, those spontaneous travelers refuse their help; instead, they make their own policies, and they perform, conduct and overcome every detail that seems perilous to them. Now, the FIT comes up and shares the awesome experience with us!

Surprise! To overwhelm us, "she" is just graduated from college, and has got admitted to Art Studies graduate school lately. "She" is the one who performs the schedules herself, taking risks in Nepal. Beyond our imagination that it should be "HE" to take risky trips, "she" is really "setting up her own itinerary to Nepal!"

Meanwhile, the Otaku generation has aroused hot debates in 21 century. More and more young adults, staying up all night, cramming themselves in on-line games, caused the society to take it more seriously. Are you still afraid of stepping out? Here are suggestions for Otaku friends to follow.

Cate Chang: So, Audrey, say hi to all the blogger audience...

Audrey leung: HI!!!!!!!!!!!

Cate Chang: According to my topic, as a spontaneous tourist to Nepal, could you share with me that why, how and with whom you went to the mysterious Nepal?

Audrey leung: I joined a group called "CCDS," and their mission is to continuously provide medical services in many poverty places, such as 青海 in mainland china, west Africa, north Thailand ...and so on. The reason why I joined this time cuz I had been to 青海 in 2006, and I found it meant a lot to me. So this time, I went to Nepal, and I'll definitely go back again.

Cate Chang: So this time the CCDS targets in Nepal, where sounds undeveloped, primitive, and somewhat dangerous..., so could you draw a clear picture for us that how Nepal is "really" seen by you?

Audrey leung: Most Nepal people are suffering poverty. Even in KATHAMANDU, the capital, and there weren't not many modern infrastructure seen by me. Generally, people don't have clean water to drink, not to mention the personal hygiene. Above all, the most shocking experience is that I saw kids, maybe ten or smaller, having drugs on the streets. They are controlled by local gangsters and forced to be young beggars. Besides, there are a variety of races in NEPAL, as well as many dialects spoken.

Cate Chang: So people in Nepal are poor in personal hygiene, and some kids are controlled by evil gangsters; meanwhile, races issue, and multi-languages, force Nepal people to badly lead their lives. But i wonder that if those poor conditions transform the people or not? Are they pessimistic? Or not?

Audrey leung: Well that's why I want to go back. I stayed there just for 8 days and most of people I met were really kind and optimistic, because those who we contact with were all grateful of receiving medical service from us. But I met some young folks, if they got to get better education, they go to India, and they have harsh lives there. The young people I met were really energetic, innocent, and sincere.

Cate Chang: besides, could you share with us that "what must be taken care the most while traveling by your own" as a well-experienced FIT( because i know that you have made your own tours to France, Hong Kong, etc..)?

udrey leung: Well, though I've never been to India, I think NEPAL people are not that sophisticated than people in India. But when you go shopping on the streets, you still meet cunning businessmen, especially refugees from Tibet, who are all skilled dealers. Oh, by the way, AIDS is really common in NEPAL. Also, one of our group member got 蟯蟲 after coming back. Meanwhile, traffic there is really bad.

Cate Chang: As you mentioned, you suggest that the becoming FITs pay attention to safety, sanitary, dealers, traffic problems, and AIDS.

Audrey leung: Oh, their concept of TIME is totally different from us, which is really the cultural difference among countries. There's no rule and time schedules, flights not on time, bus neither. So take it easy! Because it is still an agricultural-based country and most of them don't really have a real "job" like us .

Cate Chang: At the end of the conversation, how about sharing some advice, encouraging audience or promoting this new choice for tourists as a FIT "sales."

Audrey leung: Go trekking in Nepal! Don't just stay in KATHAMANDU! And take off the burden of civilized world! Enjoy the dance and music there, the most sexually incitement I've ever seen!

As Audrey mentioned, FIT tour is all but safe, comfortable, and easy. It takes efforts a lot in taking care of the safety issue and else. Because while you are in foreign places, there will always be something unexpected happening. Besides, just as Audrey suggests, "Go trekking in Nepal." "And take off the burden of civilized world!
