Final Project Report Progress

Due to our script of our group project, this week G2 has moved on to our shooting work! Before the shooting, we sent about a questionnaire to all of our classmates. There were about 20 questions, made up by 5 themes: basic questions, frequency, motivations, improvements and promotion. Each theme was described by about 4 questions for recipients to give answers. After collecting all of their questionnaires, G2 has started to categorize them into two kinds of users. One is “FREQUENT USER” (at least 8 hours a week); and the other kind is “SELDOM USER.” (under 8 hours a week) By categorizing into 2 groups, we planed that during the interview, we assign them questions to answer in front of the camera.

Questions for “FREQUENT USER”:
1. What motivates you to frequently stay in SL?
2. Show us one place that impressed you the most? Maybe the most fun and special place.
(p.s. We assign that each interviewee should keep their answers brief, 20~30 seconds would be the best.)

Questions for “SELDOM USER”:
1. Tell us the reason why you seldom stay in SL.
2. Give us your suggestion to improve SL.

Besides the regular questions above, G2 requested every interviewee to shoot the same cut. We need a slogan to promote SL in the very front of out film.

And the slogan will be: “我是xxx(real name), 我也是xxx(avatar’s name). 我們都在Second Life, Welcome to join us!”

By far, we have interviewed half of the classmates, and there were still about 6 people remained. We anticipate to complete all the interview by 17th June (Wed).

1.How do you distribute your personal spare time while using SL in one day?

2.Have you ever sensed that you tend to get along with people who share almost the same motivations with you?

3.What will be the stimulants that enables you a daily user on SL? Excitement? Or just novelty?
